I have been privileged to perform marriage ceremonies in, and around Echuca for many years.
I became a marriage celebrant after I retired from full time teaching, and it has been even more enjoyable than I ever thought possible.
I have enjoyed preparing and presenting unique, romantic and traditional ceremonies to create a life time of treasured memories.
It has been an absolute joy to me to marry some of my past students, our family friends and to meet so many new people. I have performed marriage ceremonies in many interesting and special places. One was on the edge of the Murray River with the water lapping at our feet. This is where the bride and groom had shared many happy holidays with their family and friends so it was an obvious place for their special day and make their commitment to each other. Other weddings have been at family gardens, at the Gunbower Jetty, the Bendigo Art Gallery, and of course at the beautiful resorts around Echuca and on the wharf and on the majestic paddle steamers.
I always encourage couples to include family and friends in the ceremony, singing, reading, carrying the rings etc. At a wedding in Lockington the whole of Grade 3 were involved in their teacher’s wedding, what fun, and what beautiful memories these little ones will have of this special day.
